My Inspiration...

My love of nature, theatre, and writing began at a very young age. I started developing theatrical productions in grade school which eventually led me to write my first full three-act play during my senior year at Boston University. After reading the Origin of Species in 1992 coupled with the initiation of the Human Genome Project in 1990, this catalyzed an obsessive work of a story pertaining to responsible vs irresponsible science which was entitled, "The Decline of Species." This humorous and dynamic play took Charles Darwin's premise and examined the costs paid for irresponsible "Unnatural Selection." The message simply signifies the significance of the ethical implications when responsible science is ruled out of the investigative process. Any scientific/technological advancement has great potential for good but also holds the polar effect when not exercised in a responsible fashion. I remain hopeful humanity will choose to innovate wisely...

This initial experience led to an ongoing passionate journey to explore every aspect of technical specialization and the historical, cultural, and political climates they were introduced. With a Master's degree in Biotechnology, my areas of expertise have been in neurobiology and medical imaging. Yet, my interests are vast and always growing through independent exploration. It is with an optimistic vision that these insights were written to help fuel discussions about some of the technological and political ideas/issues that constantly surround us...It is my hope this work may inspire others to stop, question, analyze and understand... To me, that is life's most valuable reward!!!
